We Need Your T-shirts Zoe Karssen.
Since starting the blog, I've been on a highly driven mission to find undiscovered talent, the term 'undiscovered' is referring directly to my limited knowledge of all these hugely talented designers out there in this World, which I suppose to a certain extent is a representation of how successful their designs have become, crossing the hurdles one by one and now reaching to us mere observers, unlinked to the World of Fashion. However, aside from that, as much as a strong interest and sheer enjoyment of discovering talent through various forms of materials, its helpful to have friends in privileged positions with collections naturally filtering through to them without the need of research, a close friend, Sarah, works within Liberty, and with the company interested in supporting young designers, its a perfect opportunity to pick up on these emerging talents.
Zoe Karssen was today's discovery, to me, sent in an email from Sarah with the subject...'I think you will like this....' and of course, what's not to like? The line recognised for the tongue and cheek graphics, something which it is clear her fans have grown to love and as such expect from her. Collections have taken inspiration from various icons in the music and fashion industries, and from the list it was clear the collection were going to be my whole style wrapped up in each thought out piece, Kate Moss, Erin Wasson, Jessica Hart, Blondie and Marilyn Monroe.
Zoe Karssen creates printed t-shirts and sweatshirts, all high quality materials, with healthy injections of easy to wear tongue in cheek graphics for the 'cool girls in town' and keeping that rock n roll edge to the brand, giving the look that every girl wants to achieve 'the I just threw this on and look nice' with any outfit.
Continually expanding, the brand has gained attention from commendable stores in Paris and Liberty's department store in London, also available in selected retailers worldwide and through the Zoe Karssen web store.
